Portainer-Run, Portainer-Command and Portainer-AiGrid are extensions that run on Portainer Business Edition, so none of them is licensed separately. What you pay for is the nodes Portainer manages, wherever those products run.

Summary

No product fees. Every Portainer AI product is included with Portainer Business Edition, and your license is the total number of nodes Portainer manages: the clusters Portainer-Run deploys to, the Kubernetes fleet Portainer-Command governs, and the workstations enrolled in Portainer-AiGrid. Portainer-Run can be evaluated today on a free 3-node tier without talking to us.

Portainer Business Edition

The license you buy. Every Portainer AI product is an extension that runs on it. Portainer-Run requires version 2.44 or later.

Bundled Kubernetes

KubeSolo for the single-node appliance; Talos for a bundled cluster. Either is included when you ask for it. Bringing your own Kubernetes is equally valid.

Support

9x5 as standard. 24x7 and premium options available on request.

Air-gapped

Supported. Portainer Business runs in regulated, distributed, and air-gapped environments across the Fortune 2000.

Pricing questions, answered directly

Do you publish prices?

No. Quotes are scoped around the number of nodes Portainer manages, support tier, and whether you want us to bundle Kubernetes. The AI products themselves carry no charge. Talk to us and we will scope a quote to what you are actually running.

Are the AI products licensed separately?

No. Portainer-Run, Portainer-Command and Portainer-AiGrid are extensions to Portainer Business Edition. You pay for the nodes Portainer manages, and every AI product is available to run on them.

Do we get one contract for all three products?

Yes. There is only one license to buy, so it is one quote, one contract, one renewal, and one support relationship.

Is there a free way to evaluate Portainer-Run?

Yes. Portainer Business is free for up to three nodes, add-ons included, so a full Portainer-Run environment can be stood up on your own lab or a small cluster without a purchase. This is Business Edition on a free tier, not Community Edition; Community Edition does not run add-ons. When you move past three nodes you stay on the same Business Edition and license the additional nodes, and the add-on, the manifests, and the Git target you set up carry across unchanged.

Is there a free trial for Portainer-Command and Portainer-AiGrid?

Not as a self-serve download. Both are evaluated under a commercial trial that we scope during a briefing, because standing them up meaningfully involves either connecting real environments (Command) or enrolling real workstations (AiGrid). The evaluation runs on your infrastructure, and the license you buy afterwards is Portainer Business Edition on the nodes they run on.

Is 24x7 support available?

Yes. 9x5 is standard; 24x7 and premium tiers are available on request and priced as an uplift on your license.

What if we want you to bring the Kubernetes cluster too?

Ask for the bundled option. We deploy either KubeSolo (for a single-node appliance) or Talos Linux (for a cluster) as part of the installation, and support for that Kubernetes distribution is included in the license. Bringing your own cluster is equally supported and does not change the price shape.

Is Portainer AI supported in air-gapped environments?

Yes. Portainer Business runs in regulated, distributed, and air-gapped environments across the Fortune 2000, and every Portainer AI product inherits that support. Deployment specifics vary by product; talk to us and we will walk through your environment.
